Chemical spill pallet FAQs
Which spill pallet is best for acids and chemicals?
Choose the DIBt grade. Its polyethylene sump resists most acids and alkalis, and it carries 450 kg (2 drum) or 900 kg (4 drum). To hold the full contents of a drum, choose the 225 L model. For solvents or strong oxidising agents, send us the safety data sheet first.
How do I check if the load rating is enough?
Add up the weight of all the full drums. A 200 litre drum of a water-like liquid weighs about 220 kg when full, and denser chemicals such as acids weigh more. Keep the total within the pallet's static load: 450 kg for 2 drum models and 900 kg for 4 drum models.
What is a heavy duty spill pallet?
A heavy duty spill pallet has a stronger sump and a higher load rating than a standard drum spill pallet. SpillSafe DIBt grade pallets are moulded from C6 hexene polymer and carry 450 kg (2 drum) or 900 kg (4 drum) static load.
What is C6 hexene (metallocene) polymer?
It is a polyethylene grade made with hexene as the comonomer, typically using a metallocene catalyst. This gives a more uniform structure with better strength and impact resistance than standard LDPE, so the sump holds up to drum knocks and heavy loads.
Is the spill pallet DIBt approved?
The polymer is. The yellow sump is moulded from DIBt-approved polymer. DIBt (Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik) is Germany's technical authority for construction products. Ask us for the approval document.
Which model holds a full 205 L drum?
The 225 L 4 drum spill containment pallet. The 50 L, 125 L and 70 L models catch leaks, drips and small spills.
What is the price of a heavy duty spill pallet?
The DIBt grade starts from Rs. 8,580 (2 drum, 50 L), plus GST and freight. Bulk and dealer pricing is available on request.
